Bland On Bland Poems

At the beginning of 2007 Jonnie Von Goes asked me to write a “weekly thematically related poem” for The JVG Radio Method. “BLAND ON BLAND” is the result.

You can hear the the show on Melbourne’s 3RRR radio station, Sundays between 2 and 4PM.

  • Bland On Bland – Holding Something
The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Holding Something“. It seems to have gone off on a bit of a tangent this week. What’s different to any other week I hear you say? Point taken! JVG is back in control. Such as it is, I don’t think he really liked last week minor insurrection. Ed Bates provided ...
  • Bland On Bland – Civil Disobedience
The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Civil Disobedience“. In the finest tradition of “be careful what you wish for”, last week, I stupidly suggested this weeks theme. Now, most of you playing along at home would have assumed that if I was going to open my mouth that I would have had ...

I could go back and plunder one of the last 10 years worth of Radiothons as to why you should help out but this year Matt Quinn,  bassist of “The Miserable Little Bastards”, over on Facebook has put it beautifully Before restrictions in March, ...
  • Bland On Bland – Conspiracy Theories
The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Conspiracy Theories“. Obviously the lockdown is getting to Jon. The choice of themes is just getting… how can I put this… out there? This week isn’t a poem, its more a “film noir” radio play ( obviously without the film – its radio) but given the choice ...
