The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Dear …“.
Got sick this week so had to phone the poem in to JVG. Sorry for the lack of quality in the recording. When I get my voice back under control I might redo it. I will let you know
Fortunately the theme this week from Jon provided a poem that nearly wrote itself.
No Ed this week, have a listen to how it went below…

It’s only me. Remind me what you do again?
This planet you created is certifiably insane
Indulge me for a moment: Throw a dart into a map
Odds on where it lands there will be some kind of scrap
Wars, disputes, violence; senseless acts of man
Or one psycho with a gun who starts killing ‘cause he can
Where arguing for gun controls is tantamount to treason
He had 23 guns – and they’re looking for a reason?
While Vegas grabs the headlines, lives tragically cut short
The genocide in Africa rates a byline down near sport
Our compassion slants, as ever, west: it’s probably time to note
Our anger is best focussed where we live and where we vote
Take a closer look at home to your Leyonhjelms and Katters
Blaming meddling urbanites who interfere in rural matters
Frustrated in their efforts to access more powerful arms
Essential for eradicating vermin from our farms
Claims of a Nanny State has become a lazy habit
How many rounds per second does it take to shoot a rabbit?
They say people kill, not guns, yet when all is said and done
While millions act responsibly it only takes the one
Whatever helps prevent Port Arthur happening again
If the term for that is Nanny State then God I say amen
