The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Nasty Bosses“.
After last week I think that Jon maybe just making it all too easy. “Nasty Bosses”, well next week it will be overbearing dictator but that’s unlikely, I can’t see him being that self-referential two weeks in a row.
So let’s have as much fun with this as I can before he notices and I get the sack. “Workers of the world, unite!”
Ed Bates provided the music backing and sound effects. Thatch provided the audio production, have a listen to how it went below…

Nasty Bosses
My boss is a totalitarian
Heartless, cruel; a real barbarian
No empathy or understanding
Unappreciative and so demanding
Overbearing and repressive
Unrelenting and obsessive
Unrealistic expectations
Pushed beyond my limitations
A relationship I can’t avoid
Due to the fact I’m self employed
“You’re a prick” I said to me
Me replied “undoubtedly
A total prick, can’t deny
Though not as big a prick as I”
I took offence, me didn’t care
Me knows that I is all hot air
I the minion, me the boss
Any wonder me gets I cross?
Always argue, can’t agree
Me thinks as I, I thinks as we
You and I and me and usses
No wonder wheels fall off the busses
I does the work for stuff all pay
While me, me does sweet FA
What would me do If I quit?
Me didn’t seem to give a shit
Recalcitrant, just won’t behave
I tired of working as a slave
Me, I thinks, fails to see
That me needs I more than I needs me
Time we went our separate ways
But which one goes and which one stays?
I called it quits; it’s for the best
To tell the truth I needs a rest
It was always going to happen one day
Now I’s only problem’s Sunday
As cruel a boss as me may be
Not half as bad as JVG
