The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Questions”.

Good afternoon Jon

I’m sitting here with Coventry based singer and multi instrumentalist Lucy Anne Sale pondering the big questions and to quote Johnny Nash “There are more questions than answers”…

I mean, Who listen’s to the radio?
That’s what I’d like to know
Who are you? Who? Who? Who? Who?
I really want to know
Is there anybody out there?
Can blue men sing the whites?
Who killed Bambi?
Where do the children play?
Why does it always rain on me?
Have you ever seen the rain coming down on a sunny day?
What would you think if I sang out of tune would you stand up and walk out on me?
How many years can a mountain exist before it is washed to the sea?
Does anybody really know what time it is?
Exactly 25 or 6 to 4
Who knows where the time goes?
Does your chewing gum lose it’s flavour on the bedpost overnight?
Who put the bomp in the bomp bah bomp bah bomp?
Who put the ram in the rama lama ding dong?
Is that all there is?
Where have all the good times gone?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Where have all the husbands gone?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
When will they ever learn?
War, ha, what is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
I’ll say it again
No don’t – once is enough
Where do you go to my lovely when you’re alone in your bed?
What do you see when you turn out the light?
Do you see what I see?
When you were a young boy did you have a puppy that always followed you around?
Can your monkey do the dog?
How does it feel to be on your own with no direction home?
Baby do you understand me now, sometimes I feel a little mad?
Have you seen you’re mother baby standing in the shadows?
Isn’t she lovely?
Isn’t life strange?
What is life?
Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near?
Why do stars fall down from the sky every time you walk by?
If I said you had a beautiful body would you hold it against me?
What’s goin on?
Do you think I’m sexy?
Who the funk do you think you are?
Am I not pretty enough?
Have you ever been mellow?
Would you lay with me in a field of stone?
How do you sleep?
Don’t you want me baby?
Would I lie to you?
Can we fix it?
No we can’t
Well, what do you want to make those eyes at me for?
Do you really want to hurt me?
What can I say?
Where did our love go?
What’s love got to do with it?
Am I that easy to forget?
What’s your name?
Didn’t we have a lovely time the day we went to Bangor?
What’s the matter with you?
Can we still be friends?
How can I tell you?
Ain’t that a shame
Isn’t it a pity?
What have I done to deserve this?
What have you done for me lately?
Should I stay or should I go?
How soon is now?
Tell me, what’d I say?
Can I get a witness?
Am I ever gonna see your face again?
No way, get fucked, fuck off
Ever fallen in love (with someone you shouldn’t have fallen in love with?)
Don’t it make your brown eyes blue?
What about me?
You know what I like about that guy?
