Bland On Bland – Mirrors

Bland On Bland – The BookThe theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Mirrors“.

A great show this week. JVG had invited the Broads in to do a pre-launch of their new song “Mirrors” He decided that would make a great theme. He was right.

Back to the “neighbourhood” and one of our heroes has a brush with the fickleness of fashion. Honestly, it almost wrote itself.

We also had Dan Warner back doing “Warner Corner” this week and he was also in fine form if a little “croaky” (he claims I thought the song sounded great)

No Ed this week so have a listen to hear how the poem went below…

Bland On Bland – Living

Bland On Bland – The BookThe theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Living“.

The theme Jon chose for today was “Living” so in a fit of perversity and let’s face it annoying Jon can be so much fun I took the opposite tack…

Bland On Bland – First Thing In The Morning

Bland On Bland – The BookThe theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “First Thing In The Morning“.

Every so often ( well truth be told every other week) JVG will go “hey that was a good show let’s tweak the theme ever so slightly and do it again” So here we are, following on from last weeks tale, back in the neighbourhood.

Our protagonists have returned from their fishing trip and we resume the tale …

Bland On Bland – Time In The First Line

Bland On Bland – The BookThe theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Time in the first line“.

Oh dear, after a few good weeks, JVG is reverting type. “Time in the first line” what the hell are you supposed to do with that as a theme. It was a great show. I cant remember when we have had some many people calling in.

Lucky for me Jules Vines from 3MDR was in the building and drew short straw on the phone duties.

Anyway, when in doubt head to the neighbourhood… (it will make a lot of you quite happy)

Bland On Bland – Sailor

Bland On Bland – The BookThe theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Sailor“.

First show back for the year. Hope you all had a great holiday break. JVG seemed to have had a relaxing time. Dan did a great job with the “Ebb Tide Show” and thanks to Jed for popping one of my tracks on his new years eve outing and, Greg and  I had a great time playing at the Newstead Festival

OK. Back into it, I decided for the first one for 2018 I had to start in the “neighbourhood”

Let me know what you think

Always great to have Ed Bate providing the guitar backing, have a listen to how it went below…

Bland On Bland – Days

The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is “Days“.

Sarah Carroll in charge this week and what a great day it turned out to be. What with Dan last week and Sarah this week, maybe we should convince JVG to have a few more sleep ins on a Sunday.

Nah. It just wouldn’t be the same without his curmudgeonly presence tilting at the windmills.

A rant this week, throwing rhyme out the door on a whim. BUT in case that puts you off.  It’s set in the neighbourhood and this week pushes “Rabbit” McGorry centre stage.

Let me know what you think…
